David Adler is the founder of BizBash, a leading event planning platform that will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025, and Washington Dossier, a magazine that has marked 50 years since he founded it at the age of 21. An entrepreneur deeply interested in fostering connections, he authored “Harnessing Serendipity,” focusing on collaboration. Based in Washington, D.C., he has served as a consultant to the State Department, where he helped initiate the American Culinary Corps and was part of the Fine Arts Committee, launching its education program. David is also involved in the movie business, managing the intellectual property of his father, novelist Warren Adler, whose works include “War of the Roses,” “Random Hearts,” and many others.


Robin Preston is a highly accomplished events industry professional, known for her passion, energy, and ability to deliver exceptional results. With a proven track record of leadership, she has successfully managed teams of 25+ employees, overseen multi-million-dollar budgets, and developed effective event strategies. Her expertise in business event production is evident in her successful delivery of over 450 events, ranging from intimate gatherings to conferences with over 18,000 attendees, all marked by her through attention to detail and strategic planning.


Over nearly three decades, Robin has made significant contributions to the industry by serving on various Boards of Directors, participating in customer advisory boards for DMOs and CVBs, speaking at numerous professional events, and mentoring individuals who have gone on to successful careers. Her dynamic leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence continues to drive her success in the business events industry.




John Hawley is a passionate hospitality leader who excels in coaching, strategy development, and customer engagement. With a focus on driving revenue growth, fostering team excellence, and enhancing guest experiences, he brings over 25 years of leadership experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry. John currently leads the Association Sales Team for Hilton Worldwide Sales, a role that also encompasses Government, Religious, and Diversity verticals. His strategic insights and dedication to excellence are a true reflection of the values embodied by #WeAreHilton and #WeAreHospitality.



Cameron Curtis, CMM, CAE, is the Founder and Chief Innovator of C2 Association Strategies, bringing over 24 years of association management experience to her role. Guided by her grandmother’s mantra, “Never turn down anything but your coat collar,” Cameron leads her team in delivering people-first, creative solutions with a strong focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Prior to founding C2, she served as President & CEO of the Association of Air Medical Services and Medivac Foundation International, where she navigated major initiatives ranging from federal litigation to legislative advocacy and COVID response. With previous leadership roles at SmithBucklin and numerous associations—including international engagements with the U.S. Department of Defense and State Department—Cameron is a respected voice in the industry. A contributing author on resilience and an active member of several professional organizations, she continues to shape the future of association management from her home in Alexandria, Virginia.
